Recommended Horse Boots and Wraps
I have personally used these boots on my horses for years, and can recommend them without reservation. Clicking on the pictures will take you to Amazon.com (where I am an associate) to purchase the product.
Sports Medicine Boots are the best selling equine leg care products in the world. They have protected countless performance horses over the years in every imaginable event, including polo, jumping, reining, barrel racing, endurance, working cow horse and many others. For many horses, these boots have meant the difference between an extended career and periodic or permanent injuries. These are the real deal, and copies just aren't the same.
Intrepid International Neoprene Splint Boots with Black padded suede overlay and three reverse grip touch tape straps. These boots are great for turnout or easy hacking. They protect the horse's legs but don't offer the same level of support that sports medicine boots do, which your horse may not need. EasyCare Boot. This is a great durable boot for protecting a bruised or injured sole. Great when your horse pulls a shoe in the pasture. If you're used to using the old style Easy Boot, you will really appreciate this newer version. You don't have to have the strength of Hercules to get them on. The velcro closures are easy to adjust and hold the boot on well. Polo wraps are suitable for protecting your horse's legs while schooling in the arena. These wraps are durable, and come in a variety of fun colors. Roma Shipping boots (or as I prefer to call them, traveling boots) are a must when trailering your horse. They provide excellent protection for your horse's legs during trips to the vet, shows, etc. Roma boots feature a tough 1000 Denier outer shell with soft fleece lining and extended knee protection. Wide tab Velcro closures for easy application. Professional's Choice Bell boots are great for horses that over-reach and strike their own hooves. If you're used to using the pull-on kind of bell boots, you will be so relieved to use these instead. The velcro straps eliminate the struggle of pulling rubber boots on and off your horse's hoof. UltraShock™ lining absorbs energy from overreaching and protects the vital areas of the hoof while the soft no-turn knob keeps the boot from spinning. |
Back on Track Hock Boot: I've used Back on Track products, and in my opinion, they really help speed recovery from injury or soreness. The exterior is a tough neoprene, and the interior is a state-of-the-art Welltex fabric containing ceramic powder, which reflects your horse's natural body warmth and creates a soothing far infrared thermal heat. Heat therapy is a well-recognized method used to help relieve and heal injured muscles, joints, and tendons. The boot fastens around the hock but leaves the hock point uncovered. Attached Velcro straps allow you to adjust the boots' fit. When you apply these boots, it helps to use standing wraps to prevent them from sliding down.

Back on Track Back Pad: This therapeutic Back Pad (size - 3' x 3') uses state-of-the-art fabric, which contains polyester thread embedded with a fine ceramic powder. Designed to reflect the horse's own body-warmth, it creates a soothing far infrared thermal heat, which can help alleviate pain associated with inflamed muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints. Used for both injury prevention as well as injury recovery. This 3 x 3 Back Pad helps to warm up your horses back before exercise, loosening up the muscles. A Velcro strip detaches and may be sewn into an existing blanket or may be used with a surcingle.
